THE STORIES ARE ALREADY OUT THERE.
WE’RE JUST GOING TO FIND THEM.
THERE IS POWER IN A STORY.
A story can make us laugh, bring back a memory, introduce us to a place we’ve never been—or simply remind us that we’re not as alone as we sometimes feel.
Backroads Revival was born from a desire to reconnect people. We travel America’s backroads to the dive bars, beer joints and honky-tonks where people still gather and stories are still being told. We listen, preserve them, and share them with anyone who wants to pull up a chair.
And along the way, we hope you’ll discover a town you never knew, meet people you never would have met, and maybe even take the next exit to experience one of these places for yourself. Because sometimes keeping a story alive can help keep a place alive, too.

THE FACES BEHIND THE REVIVAL.
We’re Tracy and Karl, and we’ve always loved a good dive bar.
Not because they’re fancy—they’re usually anything but. We love the people. They’re real, honest, hardworking, funny, and usually willing to pull up another chair. Spend a little time in a local dive and you’ll get a pretty good glimpse of the people who call that town home.
We know because it happened to us. While we were moving, we stopped at a dive bar in a town where we didn’t know anyone. The people were so warm and welcoming that weeks later, we came back. Eventually, that town became our home.
A dive bar full of strangers helped lead us here—to Backroads Revival.
Now we’re hitting the backroads together to find more of those places, meet more of those people, and hear the stories they have to tell.
